Groupon FAQs:

1. Locations -
Q: Where are you located?
A: We currently have 5 main locations: Ala Moana, Moanalua Community Park, Kalo Place Mini Park (UH Manoa), Magic Island, and Kakaako. Click here to see the map of our specific locations.

2. New to exercise -
Q: I am new to exercise or have not exercised in a while. What can I do to get ready for classes:
A: Practice and perform the following exercises before coming to class:
15 squats
10 push-ups (knees)
15 crunches or sit-ups
30 second plank hold (knees or straight-body)

3. Levels of classes -
Q: What are the differences in level 1-3 classes?
A: Classes are leveled in order to meet students’ needs and maintain student safety and effective exercise training during classes.
Level 1: Beginner Exercisers and Sedentary Individuals = 0-1 day of exercises /week
Level 2: Experienced Exercisers = 1-3 days of exercise/week
Level 3: Advanced Exercisers = 4 – 7 days of exercises/week

Q: What if I cannot keep up with the class or need more challenge?
A: If you cannot keep up with the class, let the instructor know your challenges. Take a Getting Started class so you become familiar with the basic exercises of classes.
If you need more of a challenge, let the instructor know what your needs are. Try out level 2-3 classes: TRX Suspension Training and Sport Boot Camp

4. Groupon Purchase -
Q: I bought 20 classes with Groupon, when can I start taking classes and when do they expire?
A: Your 20 classes begin on the date requested, as long as you complete the entire Enrollment Process and do not have any medical or physical limitations.

Q: I bought an 8-week Fitness Challenge, can I start anytime?
A: No, 8-week Fitness Challenges have a specific start and end date. Click here to view the different enrollment dates and times.

5. I can’t make classes -
Q: What if I cannot make it to the first day of class?
A: We prefer if you can make the 15-minute Getting Started class before your first class. If you cannot make this class, then contact Emily Boll at emily@bootcamp-hawaii.com before your session begins.

Q: What if miss some classes or have to miss classes?
A: If you miss classes or cannot make class, then please take off your name from the online reservation roster.

7. I need to hold or freeze on my account -
Q: Can I put a hold or freeze on my account if I go on vacation, I am ill or injured?
A: Please fill out this form: Request to Freeze Account. There will be a $25 charge for all requests.

8. What to do before and bring to Class -
Q: What do I bring to class?
A: large towel, water bottle, athletic shoes, weights*
*weights required for Scoops’ and Michelle’s classes

Q: What can I do before coming to class?
A: research the location of the class, arrive early for parking, eat a easily digestible snack of 150 – 200 calories

Q: What are some examples of snacks I can eat before class?
A:
– string cheese and crackers
– yogurt and fruit
– 1/2 sandwich
– apple or carrots and nut butter
– light energy bar
